Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt, Everyone Wins!

The battle to answer the question: which is better, ice cream or frozen yogurt? The truth is, both are rich, creamy, and delicious, so it doesn’t matter if you choose ice cream or frozen yogurt, you really can’t go wrong. At Chill-N, you can make any flavor a frozen yogurt or ice cream. So, let us breakdown the two and make your decision a little smoother.

If you already have a brain freeze reeling over which is better, don’t fret. This is a battle that will be hard to settle and will likely take the full ten rounds. But, let’s try.

Ice Cream

Ice cream has been around for centuries, allowing for the technique to be perfected. It should come as no surprise that ice cream has been the favored frozen treat on hot, Florida days. With a variety of fresh toppings, ice cream can be filling and satisfying. While ice cream may have a little more fat than frozen yogurt, fat in moderation, is actually good for you, and, it requires a lot less sugar to make it taste delicious.

Frozen Yogurt

Frozen yogurt is a relatively new creation, and has only been around since its first commercial release in 1981. It was introduced as a healthier option to ice cream in that it has fewer calories and a lot less fat. However, its big claim to fame is being easier on the digestive system, especially for those with lactose tolerance issues. Frozen yogurt tends to come out more dense and a little smoother than ice cream.

Okay, so we realize that this information has not really helped you settle the age-old debate — ice cream or frozen yogurt. But, we honestly believe that one is not better than the other. They each have their own value and offer something delicious for you. So, really it just comes down to what mood you are in the day you order your treat. We say, just follow your tastebuds, because either way you order, you’ll be delighted.

At ChillN Nitrogen Ice Cream, we offer ice cream and frozen yogurt, and dairy-free coconut milk ice cream. Come to one of our Southern Florida locations and give them all a try!
